The boys bowling team dominated this year as a whole and going into state had a chance at winning it all, which would be their second state championship in the last three years. The team finished second overall. Individual honors included freshman Kazerick Smith finished 17th overall with an accumulative score of 573 and junior Tyler Gromlovits finished 3rd with a score of 699.

“I should have gotten first this year, but it’s okay because I have one more year to win state as a Blue Jay bowler.” Gromlovits said.

With few seniors leaving the boys team, the team looks to continue their success with experience and returning bowlers.

The girls bowling team placed 6th as a team but didn’t receive any individual honors. The girls would often finish in the top three in many of their meets.

“I am glad to qualify for state and to come and compete with my girls.” junior Taylar Smith said. The girl’s team will have many returners for next year and will look to qualify for state.
